THE SUN RISES IN MY HEART

Clouds may come, storms may flash me out;
But deep in my heart, I know it'll pass.
Far beyond hurt, my mind is all set
I'll do it alone and walk Life's roads my way.
*
Rains keep coming; twisters may swoosh,
Funny how I still find myself....standing tall;
I ask for nothing, I've got everything:
I find Life great: I find it beyond compare!
**
Before bed I wonder, and often ask myself:
What happens beyond tomorrow?
When all have been here and there?
God lulls me to sleep and always wake up ready and refreshed.
***
So now I won't ask, neither would I complain:
God has been good, and so far have made my hay.
I'd rather give Thanks and say wth all my might:
God always make the Sunrise up in my heart!
****
PRAISE YOU, LORD!

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE

FROM MY MAILBOX:
(THIS IS NOT A JOKE!)
*
Women should know that not every heart attack symptom
is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
The pain in the jaw happened to me and woke me from a sound sleep.
I was one of the fortunate ones.
Trust me when I tell you it's pain unlike anything you've ever experienced before.
Given a choice between natural child birthand a heart attack, pain-wise;
it's much easier to have a baby.
**
Let's be careful and be aware.
The more we know the better chance we could survive.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people,
you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.
Read this... It could save your life!!
***
Let's say it's 6:15pm and you're driving home (alone of course),
after an unusually hard day on the job.
You're tired, upset and frustrated.
Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest
that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw.
You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home.
Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far.
You have been trained in CPR,
but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
****
"HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE":
Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack,
without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint,
has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
However, these victims can help themselves
by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously.
A deep breath should be taken before each cough,
and the cough must be deep and prolonged,
as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.
A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds
without let-up until help arrives,
or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and
coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.
The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm.
In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

Tell as many other people as possible about this.
It could save their lives!! "

EVEN JUST FOR TODAY!

The sky seems to say: "Don't go, for someone will cry!"
But my heart says: "Go,.... and see....where reasons lie."
-
I don't know.
*
I can't finish my chores:
So many are left: like changing Jiji's spring clothes from his winter ones.
It's going to be warm soonand I know he'd have a hard time looking in hiscloset.
He never visit that nowadays, anyway.
**
This past year, Jiji has grown dependent on someone
[that's I, me and myself, of course!]
to clear things for him.
Nowadays he has only to ask for something and know
that it would be delivered to him
pronto!
***
And today, like yesterday, the good ol' SUN does not seem to cooperate.
It's cloudy with intermittent rainshowers.....
How can I finish all these chores, then?
I have buckets and buckets of laundry to do.
Added to that, I need to air the beddings before I keep them for next winter.....
Grrr......
****
Today, I need to stay at home and make it convenient for Jiji while I am away.
He is such a baby!
He leaves everything as is: para bang nag-skin ang snake!
Kung saan hinubad, dun na lang iiwan!
Kailangang may taga-sunod na magliligpit lagi!
Naku!

*****
Tomorrow, I need to procure some last-minute buys
and pack them all in a jiffy.
I need to be ready for the ride to
HAMAMATSU EKI [HAMAMATSU STATION]
when the Driver comes at half-past eleven.
******
Oh well.....I guess I have to stay home and keep house
even just for today!

GOING BANANAS?

Oftentimes, we snob BANANAs in our daily lives,
but did you know that BANANAs are simply great?
Read on>.......

A BANANA contains three natural sugars:
SUCROSE, FRUCTOSE and GLUCOSE combined with FIBER,
Bananas can give INSTANT,SUSTANED AND
SUNSTANTIAL BOOST OF ENERGY.
Research have proven that just two Bananas provide enough energy
for a strenous 90-minute workout.
No wonder, the Banana is the number one fruit
with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a Banana can help us stay fit.
It can also help overcome or prevent
a substantial number of illnesses and conditions,
making it a MUST TO- add to our daily diet.
  1. DEPRESSION: According to a recent survey undertaken by MINDamongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a Banana. This is because Bananas contain TRYPTOPHAN, a type of protein that the body converts into SEROTONIN, known to make you relax, improve your mood, and generally make you feel happier.
  2. PMS [PRE-MENSTRUAL SYNDROME]: Forget the pills-Eat a Banana! It contains Vitamin B6 that regulates Blood Glucose Levels, which can affect your mood.
  3. ANEMIA: High in IRON, Bananas can stimulate the production of Haemoglobin in the blood and so helps cases of Anemia.
  4. BLOOD PRESSURE: this unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium, yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat Blood Pressure. So much so, that the US Food and Drug Administration have just allowed the Banana Industryto make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of Blood Pressure and stroke.
  5. BRAIN POWER: 200 students at a Twickenham[Middlesex] school were helped through their exams last year by eating Bananas at breakfast, break and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power.Research has shown that the potassium-pcked fruit can assist learning by making more pupils more alert.
  6. CONSTIPATION: High in fiber, including Bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
  7. HANGOVERS,
  8. HEARTBURNS,
  9. MORNING SICKNESS,
  10. MOSQUITO BITES,
  11. WARTS,
  12. NERVES,
  13. ULCERS,
  14. STRESS...>>>>> you name it, Bananas can cure it!So a Banana really is a ntural remedy for many ills.WHEN YOU COMPARE IT WITH APPLES, IT HAS FOUR TIMES THE PROTEIN,TWICE THE CARBOHYDRATES,THREE TIMES THE PHOSPOROUS,FIVE TIMES THE VITAMIN A AND IRON, and TWICE THE OTHER VITAMINS and MINERALS. So maybe, it is time to change that well-known phrase and say:" A BANANA A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY." --------------------

ALARM, ALARMED, ALARMING

It is unfortunate that the country is now in shambles.
The supposed head of State refuses
to budge out of her comfortable seat by the Pasig.
Two events have added fuel to her uneasiness:
that NYT editorial which calls for the 'King' to warn his 'subject'
and yesterday, the CBCP's call to discern the Cha-Cha launched by the administration.
I say: WHY ONLY NOW? for the first.....
and for the second: WHY THE HASTE?
******
  • WHO is alarmed by all these?
  • WHO is afraid of being shoved out of bed?
  • WHO is answerable for so many brushes with the Law?

SHE DOES NOT NEED TO DO A Thaksin

ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS LISTEN TO GOD!
It has been in all corners of Pinas:
Calls for the resignation of Ate glue
has been persistent these last few months.
Unfortunately, ate glue is hard of hearing....
or is it hard of heart?
.....or the lack of all of the above?
I have been wondering:
WHY ask her to resign,
when SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE
LEGAL CAPACITY TO SIT AS PRESIDENT?
SHE NEED NOT RESIGN.....
SHE NEEDS TO VACATE THE POSITION
SHE ILLEGALLY OBTAINED
VIA QUESTIONABLE MEANS.....
ASAP!
DI BA NGA?
Dapat lang!

WORK and PLEASURE

UNLIKE yesterday, today promises to be grand,
with the SUN shining brightly from the East.
My bedroom windows face the East and the South,
thus, makes for the best place in my small abode.
I always like to savor the sunshine in the morning,
and as I open the window shutters,
I am always greetd with the glorious Sun.
I like that feeling!
TODAY, I have to go and reserve a seat for the Airport Limousine Bus
that would take me to CHUBU [NagoyaInternational Airport]
on the day before my trip next week.
I also have to reserve a hotel room for one night prior to my flight.
JAL flies early, unlike NWA....and, likewise, arrives early.
Actually, under the scorching midday sun in MManila: 12:50 PM!
THE BBox left here are half-way filled.
I need to send it, too,if I want to clear the mess that it has made in my area.
Jiji wouldn't want to see those, I'm sure.
I have to fill it up before Wednesday next week,
if I want it to reach MManila before the end of April.
ALL things set, I believe I am ready for a month or two of relaxation
AND.....work.
Oh well,
THAT work is recruiting Trainees in different parts of the Archipelago!
I have to be there when the Bosses arrive for the Interviews.....
Bale, interpreter kuno!
After which, I am free to be on my own!
Isn't it nice to combine work with pleasure?
[*wink*wink*]

IT HURTS, BUT TRUE!

I had the opportunity to hear some views of both
Japanese and Pinoy businessmen in a meeting lately:
Their views?
Read on.
  • 1. "In Japan, they build small and simple housesbut big factories. In the Philippines, they build big and grand housesbut small and few factories."
  • 2."In Japan, the Owner of a big Construction companyrides on ordinary train and commutes to work!"In the Philippines, the Boss rides on a chauffered car [even if the car is just a Corolla!] with two or three bodyguards to boot;
  • 3. "In Japan, the Owner eats in the same mess hall the Company built for its employees." In the Philippines, the Owner eats in exclusive restaurant,even during Lunch breaks;
  • 4."In Japan, the wife of the Owner is often seen in the Supermarketin the evening, just after 5PM to get the best buy [fresh commodities are sold half their price after 5PM]!!!" In the Philippines, the wife of the Owner maintains a coterie of muchachas to attend to her whims;
  • 5."In Japan, no one is seen on the roads except those commuting towork or to the fields; In the Philippines, people stay outside, near the roads, doing nothing, as if waiting for something; iow, tambay..."
  • 6. "In Japan, people walk to school: students are required to walk to build stronger bodies and stamina; The only ones allowed to ride bicycles are Senior HS students. In the Philippines, merong bus/jeepney/tricycle service:hatid-sundo and rich kids are often accompanied by Yayaswho also serve as taga-buhat ng bag at tagaligpit ng kianinan....who wait inside the Campus all-day-long."
  • Bakit nga ba?

Give us THAT gift, ate glue.....

NEWS item: Birthday wishes for GMA pour in.
Oh well, Pidal led the greetings,
followed closely by her daughter....
the tutas and all those amuyongs.
So on and so forth!
WELL, I, too, have a Birthday wish for ate glue:
I hope she opens her heart and step down calmly from
Malacanang by the Pasig.
Matanda ka na, kaya kailangang isipin mo
kung ano ang magiging buhay mo pagkatapos ng false tenure mo....
Will you be remembered as a true Pinoy?
OR
will your name be forever cursed?
So, what now, ate glue?
Pray, do tell!
The nation is waiting......
Don't let the people down.
