It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.

OKUYAMA Mountaintop Temple
Last Sunday, Jiji and I went to a mountaintop Temple/Shrine
in Okuyama..... several kilometers away from `home'.
We walked and enjoyed the cool, refreshing mountain air
along with other Japanese pilgrims who trekked the circuitous
steps to gain access to all the old buildings that comprised
the Temple/Shrine.
When with nature, I can only sing praises for the beauty
within reach....
...the tall trees,
the beautiful colors
the birds that filled the air with their happy singing.....
These are photos I took as I walked through the way.....

The Main Temple
They say that almost ALL Temples in Japan were made
without using nails to join the beams together.
This attests to the craftsmanship of the Japanese carpenters of old.
